In the last 24 hours the Bridger Range picked up 6-12” of new snow with 5-8” in the Madison and Gallatin Ranges, and 2-3” in Lionhead and Cooke City. Winds are westerly at 15-25 mph with gusts of 30-55 mph (slightly lighter around Cooke City). Winds today will be 15-20 mph out of the west with gusts to 30 mph. Temperatures are in the teens and 20s F this morning and will only rise a few degrees. As snowfall finishes this morning another 2-4” will accumulate around Bozeman and Big Sky with a trace-2” near West Yellowstone and Cooke City.

This morning, mountain temperatures are in the single digits to mid teens F with west to southwest winds averaging around 10 mph with 20 mph in the Bridger Range. Most areas picked up an additional trace to 1” of new snow yesterday morning before the storm passed. Today, temperatures will rise to around 20 F across the advisory area and around 30 F in the Bridger Range. Winds will be 10-20 mph from the west before increasing tonight and snow will begin to fill in during the late morning hours with 4-6” falling by tomorrow.

Bozeman got more snow (4+”) than the mountains. At 6 a.m. the mountains from Bozeman to Big Sky and West Yellowstone have a trace to 2” of snow while in the last 24 hours Cooke City received 3”. Wind is west to northwest at 10-15 mph with gusts of 30 mph. Temperatures are in the mid teens F. The storm will drop another inch or two in the mountains before ending this morning. Wind will be westerly at 10-20 mph and temperatures won’t warm much. Another round of snow is expected Thursday night.

Temperatures this morning are in the teens F in West Yellowstone and Cooke City and in the mid 20s F everywhere else with 10-20 mph winds from the northwest to southwest. There is an inch of new snow in Cooke City and nothing anywhere else. Today, high temperatures will be in the mid 20s F with 5-15 mph winds from the southwest to northwest. Snow will begin this morning with 1-4” favoring the mountains around Bozeman and Cooke City.

Mountain temperatures this morning are 20-30 degrees F across the advisory area and in the teens F in Cooke City. Winds are 10-20 mph from the west to northwest and there is no new snow. High temperatures today will be around 30 F with 40 F in the Bridger Range. Winds will be 10-25 mph from the southwest and some areas will see a trace of new snow overnight.

This morning there is no new snow. Temperatures are 20s to low 30s F. Wind is westerly at 5-15 mph with gusts of 25-50 mph. Today will be mostly sunny with temperatures reaching high 20s to low 30s F and west-northwest wind at 10-25 mph. The next chance for snow is Tuesday.

Temperatures are near to slightly above freezing in the northern portion of the advisory area and in the mid teens to 20 F in the southern areas with 10-20 mph winds from the west to southwest. Today, temperatures will climb to the low 30s F across most of the area and into the low 40s F in the Bridger Range before they drop off later this afternoon and evening. Winds will be 5-15 mph from the southwest and we will have a trace to 1” of new snow by morning.

At 5 a.m. skies are partly to mostly cloudy with mountain temperatures in the mid 20s F. Cooke City received an inch of snow overnight and will see flurries this morning, but no snowfall is expected anywhere else. Wind is west to southwest averaging 15-30 mph with gusts hitting 57 mph in Hyalite. Today under mostly cloudy skies, wind will continue and unseasonably warm temperatures will rise to above freezing in the north and near freezing in the south. Tomorrow night is our next chance of snow.
