Small Skier Triggered Avalanche Near Cooke City

This small pocket failed on buried surface hoar and is a good example that buried weak layers still exists in our snowpack.  These near surface weak layers will become more of a problem as we get more snow over the next few days.  Photo Beau Fredlund
